5/9/24 Monetize Your Book Tip 19: Processes and Procedures

Hi, Reader! Real quick: On today's Thursday's LIVE at 10 am CT/11 am ET, Lucas and I will chat about The Power of Short and Mini Books. Once you've got those basics down pat (Tip 18), you'll want to move onto Tip 19: your income stream's Processes and Procedures. These are the Big 3 (a.k.a., the very least of what you need to get started). You can at least engage a client with these in place (and increase the likelihood you will), and as time goes on, you'll redefine and refine your offerings and collateral materials. Website and Copy. You need a place for future clients to land—one stop that allows them to browse your wares and decide what works. A simple one-page website with an overview will get you started, and over time, you can expand it. Agreement/Contract. Be sure to prepare an Agreement and have everyone involved sign it before you start working (I use DocuSign). Having a solid agreement is important for both parties. Deliverables. You’ll need a way to deliver that for which your client has paid. A link to your digital workbook or to schedule time on your calendar once they’ve paid—no matter what you’re delivering, be sure to map out how it will be received most efficiently and effectively. In my course, Building a Million Dollar Book Business, you’ll find multiple examples you can use, including actual digital product templates, legal agreements you can use (as templates or provide to your attorney to customize), and other downloadable assets.
